If dogs are man’s best friend, why aren’t we doing more to protect them?

Here are some tips to help keep your doggie safe:

1. Poison-Proof Your Home. Check your home for possible poisons and toxins that your dog might be able to get into. Some of the more common poisons include antifreeze, rat or mouse bait, slug bait, and insecticides. Make sure you keep all of your drugs and medications out of reach. Even household items can be toxic to animals so you need to take care as to what your dog is able to get into within his range.

Let it roll      Dogs have two natural instincts that you can use to your advantage when potty training them.  One is that they prefer not to pee or poop where they sleep. They will move to another area if given the chance. Number two is that they will pee or poop where there is already the residual smell of a previous pee or poop.

When potty training a dog there are basically two options to use - Indoors or outdoors.

Good Boy !

As incredible as this counting dog thing seems, it is in reality just a trick. A very cleverly disguised trick, but still a trick. With a lot of patience, time, and the correct teaching method, most dogs can learn to 'count'. Please note that this is a more challenging trick, and Rover must learn SPEAK first.

The main part in teaching this trick is getting your Rover to respond to a hardly noticeable signal. They learn to listen for the "What is ........?

This is the cue for them to start barking, until they see the signal to stop. In the past there have been many such animals which could 'count', such as a counting horse.
